Cannabis Distillation
Materials is delivered from a feed flask into a
columniform evaporation section, getting heating, on the outside, (circulating hot fluid jacked type), and a slotted wiper mechanism forcing liquid around and downward in a thin film on the inside. In the center of the body is a wiped film evaporator with internal cooling condenser, providing a short path for vapor molecules traveling from the heated surface to the condenser surface. For cannabinoids, the internal condenser fluid must be kept elevated (~80C) to prevent high viscosity or freeze up

During the itinerary downward, lighter (lower boiling point) fractions of the liquid begin to vaporize, move to the internal condenser and condense, falling down as a liquid into a vaseel that catches and separates the distilled liquid (cannabinoid) which flows into a receiver flask. Heavier residue material (Chlorophyll, salts, sugars, heavy was fractions) does not evaporate and instead travels through the still body and flows into a different receiver flask.

Working Principle
Short-range molecular distillation is a special liquid-liquid separation technology. Under a high vacuum, the average free path of the vapor molecule is larger than the distance between evaporation surface and condensation surface, so that the liquid mixture can be separated by using the difference of evaporation rate of each component in feed liquid.
