Discription

 

Polarizing beamsplitters are designed to split randomly polarized light into reflected S-polarized and transmitted P-polarized beams. These beamsplitters are used in 1:1 beamsplitting applications with randomly-polarized light sources, or for filtering applications to enhance the polarized light to a higher polarizing level to increase the extinction ratio.
