Application:	1. Optical glass and dopants for optical yttrium garnet with microwave applications. Hydroxide is also used to make green phosphors for color fluorescent lamps.
	2. It is used in many quality assurance applications, such as line sources and calibration models.
	3. It is used to make Ga yttrium garnet (Gd: Y3Al5O12); it has microwave applications, can be used to make various optical components, and is used as a substrate for magneto-optical films.
	4. For artificial diamond and computer bubble storage. It can also be used as an electrolyte in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC).
