The cupola furnace is an important equipment for melting cast iron in casting production. After casting the cast iron block into molten iron, it is poured into the sand mold to be cooled and then unpacked to obtain a casting.
The cupola is a vertical cylindrical melting furnace, which is divided into a front furnace and a rear furnace. The front furnace is divided into an iron outlet, a slag outlet, a furnace hearth and a bridge. The afterburner is divided into three parts, the top furnace, the waist furnace and the hearth.
The waist furnace is separated from the hot air pipe, and after the furnace is closed, it is sealed with mud. The top furnace is a heat exchanger. Mainly used in the production of cast iron parts, but also used in conjunction with converter steelmaking, because the top of the furnace is upward, it is called the cupola furnace.
Working Process :
Raw materials are melting in cupola furnace with water cooling system. Lava flows out from the side hole at lower part of cupola furnace, and then lava flows through fix launder, and flows into movable launder and falls on centrifuge. Lava will be fiberized under the centrifugal force produced by centrifuge rotating at high speed and high speed air flow from air ring. There is level controller installed at the top of cupola furnace, it can keep the cupola furnace material in level and control the temperature of waste gas in steady. The composition of waste gas contains: CO2, CO, SO2 and dust.
