The computers are connected to the switch using 10 Gigabit optical fiber cables.Depending on the number of client connections to the switch, you'll determine whether you need 40Gbps or 100Gbps aggregated link between the storage and the switch. Computers typically don't come with 10 Gigabit interfaces by default. Mac computers require a Thunderbolt to 10 Gigabit optical fiber adapter, while Windows computers need to be equipped with a PCI-E 10 Gigabit network card to have a 10 Gigabit interface. This setup can cater to most 4K online editing, effects packaging, and color grading environments, supporting collaborative work among Mac, Windows, and Linux teams.
