Quartz Performance
Chemical properties：Quartz glass is an acidic material, except for hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid, it is inert to any other acid and is a very good acid-resistant material, with better chemical stability than opaque quartz glass, non-hygroscopic and non-weathering.
Electrical Properties：Quartz glass has high dielectric strength and low conductivity, even at high temperature, high pressure and high frequency, still maintain high dielectric strength and resistance, almost no dielectric loss in the applied frequency band, so quartz glass is excellent high temperature dielectric insulation material.
Optical Performance：Quartz glass has its unique optical properties, it can transmit both the far-ultraviolet spectrum, which is a good choice for all UV-transmitting materials, and can transmit visible light and near-infrared spectrum, high temperature resistance, small coefficient of thermal expansion, good chemical thermal stability, bubbles, streaks, uniformity, birefringence and comparable to general optical glass.
Thermal Properties：The coefficient of thermal expansion of quartz glass is small, only one-twelfth to one-twentieth of the ordinary glass times, the standard stipulates that the specimen will be burned to 1200 degrees Celsius and then cast sharply into cold water, repeatedly more than three times is not allowed to blow up.
Mechanical properties：Quartz glass mechanical properties than coin glass and ceramics are better, but the brittleness is poor. The theoretical calculated strength of quartz glass is very high, about 24 * 1.3 MPA, but the actual measured strength is tens of times lower than this value.
Airtight performance：The structure of quartz is very relaxed, even at high temperatures also allows the ions of certain gases to diffuse through the network, including the diffusion of sodium ions for the faster. This property of quartz glass is particularly important for users.
