CAS 7550-35-8 LiBr Lithium Bromide

lithium bromide (LiBr) mixed solution is a light yellow clear liquid, which is slightly alkaline. It can absorb CO2 in the air and precipitate Li2CO3. When exposed to strong light, it produces green Cr (OH) 3 precipitate. Anhydrous lithium bromide is a white block, nontoxic, odorless, salty and bitter, with strong moisture absorption, and can be dissolved in methanol, ethanol and other organic solvents.

LiBr is a kind of high efficiency water vapor absorber and air humidity regulator, mainly used as working medium of LiBr
refrigerator, in addition to hydrogen chloride remover, organic fiber expander in organic chemistry, hypnotic and sedative in
medicine.
