Product Description

Calcium bromide is an inorganic salt with the molecular formula CaBr2. It is colorless oblique crystal or crystal block, odorless, salty and bitter taste. Relative density 3.353 (25℃). It is highly soluble in water, neutral in aqueous solution, soluble in ethanol, acetone and acid, slightly soluble in methanol, liquid ammonia, insoluble in ether or chloroform. Can form double salts with alkali metal halides. It has strong hygroscopicity. For oil drilling, also used in the manufacture of ammonium bromide and photosensitive paper, fire extinguishing agent, refrigerant, etc. In medicine, it is used as a central nervous depressant, with inhibitory and sedative effects, and used to treat neurasthenia, epilepsy and other diseases.
