Introduction to Monel Alloy
Monel, also known as copper-nickel alloy, is an alloy made of metal nickel as a matrix with copper, iron, manganese and other elements added. Monel alloy has good corrosion resistance and is silvery white, which is suitable for edge wire material.
Uses of Monel

Properties and Corrosion Resistance of Monel Alloy
Features of Monel: Monel is a corrosion-resistant alloy with large dosage, wide application and excellent comprehensive properties. The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas medium, and also has excellent corrosion resistance in hot concentrated alkali solution. At the same time, it is also resistant to corrosion by neutral solutions, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc. An important feature of this alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion cracking and has good machinability. The structure of Monel is a high-strength single-phase solid solution.
Corrosion resistance: Monel alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives. At the same time, it is more resistant to corrosion in seawater than copper-based alloys.
