Boat Lifts are the complete package needed to raise and lower the watercraft. They use boat hoists, drive pipes, cable, rigging, and a cradle or slings. The drive pipe, also known as ride pipe, attaches to the boat hoist gears. The electric hoist motor turns the gears that move the ride pipe. The ride pipe wraps and unwraps the cable to raise or lower the boat cradle. Two types of boat hoist; direct-drive hoists and flat-plate hoists.

Overhead lifts mount to joists over the cradle or slings. Joists include wood, metal, and aluminum. Pile mount lifts mount on top of the piling posts that run parallel with the dock. Top beams are pile mount lift beams that sit on top of the piling that does not include the boat cradle with the set.
