The softening point of quartz glass is about 1730 ℃. It can be used at 1100 ℃ for a long time, and the maximum temperature canreach 1450 ℃ in a short time.

2.Good thermal stabilityThe coefficient of thermal expansion of quartz glass is very small, and it can withstand drastic temperature changes. When thequartz glass is heated to about 1100 ℃, it will not burst into normal temperature water.

4.Good electrical insulation
The resistance value of quartz glass is 10000 times that of ordinary glass. It is an excellent electrical insulating material and
has good insulating performance even at high temperature.

5.Corrosion resistantIn addition to hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass hardly reacts with other acids. Its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramicsand 150 times that of stainless steel, especially its chemical stability at high temperature, which is unmatched by any other
engineering materials.
application
The formation of quartz glass sheet is due to the high viscosity of its melt at high temperature. It is widely used in
semiconductor, electro-optic source, semiconducting communication device, laser, optical instrument, laboratory instrument,
electrical equipment, medical equipment, high temperature and corrosion resistant chemical instrument, chemical industry,
electronics, metallurgy, building materials and national defense industry.
instructions
Precautions for use of quartz glass:
1. Quartz glass products are valuable materials, so they must be handled with care;
2. All kinds of quartz glass have a maximum service temperature, which should not be exceeded, otherwise crystallization or
softening deformation will occur;
3. The quartz glass that needs to be used at high temperature must be wiped clean before use. It can be soaked in 10%
hydrofluoric acid or lotion, then cleaned with high purity water or treated with alcohol. Wear fine gloves during operation,
and do not touch quartz glass directly with hands;
4. Continuous use of quartz glass products is allowed under high temperature, which is beneficial to prolong the service life of
quartz glass and improve the temperature resistance. On the contrary, the intermittent use of quartz glass products under high
temperature has limited use times;
5. Although quartz glass has high thermal stability, it can withstand sharp temperature difference. However, due to the
difference of residual strain and product shape, there are some differences in thermal stability in practical use, which
should be paid attention to;
6. Quartz glass is acidic material. When it is used at high temperature, it should be strictly avoided to contact with alkaline
substances (such as sodium silicate, asbestos, potassium and sodium compounds, etc.), otherwise its anti crystallization
performance will be greatly reduced.
