1. Principles

Electric-spark Overlaying Technology is releasing the high-energy power into the space between metal electrode and base metal instantaneously in high frequency. Through the gas ionization that between electrode material and parent metal to form multiple micro-arc channels and produce instantaneous high-temperature microcell on the surface of the parent metal, the electrode material subjected to micro electric field should be welded into the parent metal and form a metallurgical bond. Electro-spark technology is a repetitive and instantaneous high temperature – cooling process in microcell. Different from the welding matrix, no stress or deformation caused by temperature rise would take place.

(4) High-effect Welding of Cu, Al: Welding work for high-conductivity metals like copper or aluminum is achievable due to the instantaneous output of high energy. Moreover, it overcame the fragile defects of common electro-spark deposition.

(5) No anneal or deformation: No need to preheat the base. The overlaying procedure is a repetitive instantaneous heat input-output process. No deformation, undercuts or residual stress caused by overheat would happen. Spot annealing neither.

(6) High Repairing Precision: Thickness of overlaying layer from several microns to millimeters. Small color deviation or no chromatic aberration could be seen after grinding and polishing process.

(7) Multi-purpose: Available for overlaying and surface strengthening etc. Welding work for ferrous metals ( iron ball/ gray iron/ stainless steel etc.) and non-ferrous metals ( copper/ aluminum etc.)
