Baked Italian Frozen Pizza Base - Giuseppe Verdi Selection

Tasty Classic Pizza Base with Tomato Sauce, made with simple ingredients ideal to prepare your own recipes and to be served with your favourite toppings.

COOKING Instruction:
Leave to defrost at room temperature. Bake in a hot oven at 200-220°C for about 4-6 minutes.These cooking instructions are purely guideline and may vary depending on the type of oven used.

FROZEN BAKERY PRODUCT, TO BE COOKED BEFORE EATING
Leavening with natural yeast, baking of pizza base, freezing and conservation at -18°C.

Valpizza Srl was founded in 1992 in the province of Bologna (ITALY), at the feet of the lovely Samoggia Valley hills, and soon achieved success in the production and distribution of frozen pizzas and pizza bases, immediately establishing business relations with the leading groups in the frozen food sector.
The brand new plant opened in 2011 and completed with the expansion in December 2017, covers an area of 7400 m of which more than 95% dedicated to the production process. The winning combination of tradition together with plant technology allows Valpizza to obtain unique and safe products that comply with the main quality standards worldwide. Two production lines, dough leavening cells and leavening rooms in line (for the second leavening stage) with controlled parameters (temperature / humidity), a very modern storage cell at -20 °C with pallet flow rack system with capacity of 1600 pallet spaces are just some of Valpizza plant USPs.

THE PRODUCTION PROCESS - 6 PHASES


1. Natural leavening for 24 hours
The dough is left to leave for 24h in a special cell using an exclusive technique that guarantees constant electronic control of temperature and humidity. This procedure ensures: finer texture - lighter, more easily digestible dough - stronger flavour and fragrance - longer shelf life.
2. Hand kneading
One of the most distinctive features of Valpizza products: it ensures a higher rim, according to the best Italian pizza tradition.
3. Baking
Wood-fired and gas oven, on refractory stone: 100% environment-friendly, automatically fed with certified and sanitised beech logs / Electric oven.


4. Topping
Only the best ingredients are selected for the toppings of our pizzas. Carefully hand-topped pizzas by highly skilled staff, giving a touch of Italy to our pro-ducts, making them unique in the name of tradition.
5. Deep freezing and packaging
Direct deepfreezing at -30°C - 4 packaging lines matching the best possible packaging solution following the sales channel.
6. Passion
Passion is a fundamental phase of Valpizza production process. Every pizza is unique. Every pizza is literally hand made and taken care of during the pro-cess. This is possible only thanks to the great dedication of our operators.
