Green Asparaguses - Vegan food

Only the undamaged and intact shoots, with a well-tightened apex, green in colour with shades of purple, are carefully selected to create an in oil speciality category: prepared within a few hours from the harvest, olive oil keeps the asparaguses sweet and tender slightly smell, without fibrosity as if just picked.

Description

Though not historically belongin to the Sicilian tradition, asparaguses have been cultivated for several years and have now become part of our cultivations, our culture and our tables. Our asparaguses in oil match perfectly with other specialities for their characteristics of sweetness and tenderness.

Directions for use

Ready to open and enjoy on their own, or in combination with other Azienda Agricola Barbuscia specialities such as Artichoke with Stem, crushed green olives, farmer style artichokes, aubergine fillets, peppers, mushrooms.
Inviting as a mixed antipasti, they are successful side dish when accompanied by well aged cheeses. They constitute a moment of escape with a soft, lightly scented white wine.

Quality

With a characteristic and very concentrate taste, rich in vitamins A, B and C, asparaguses have different therapeutic properties including the kidney-purifying diuretic one, due to the presence of potassium.
