Properties: white crystal. Soluble in hot water and lye, slightly soluble in cold water.

Application: biochemical research. Selective herbicide and temporary plant growth inhibitor. It can enter the plant through the cuticle of the leaf, reduce photosynthesis, osmotic pressure and evaporation, and strongly inhibit the growth of buds. It is used to prevent the sprouting of potatoes, onions, garlic and radish during the storage period, and has the effect of inhibiting the growth of crops and prolonging the flowering. It can also be used for weeding in non cultivated land.
