Product Description

C5 Petroleum Hydrocarbon resin is a C5 aliphatic hydrocarbon used in industrial applications. It has a tackifying effect and is suitable for use in Hot Melt Adhesives, Pressure Snesitive adhesives, Hot Melt Road Marking Paint, rubber and other areas where tackiness is required.

It is a kind of thermal plasticizing hydrocarbon resin produced by C5 fraction, by-products of petroleum cracking, through pretreatment, polymerization and distillation. It is not a high polymer but a low polymer with the molecular weight between 300-3000. Featured by acid value, easy mutual solubilities, resistant to water, resistant to ethanol and chemicals. It has the chemical stabilizing property to acid and alkaline, viscosity adjusting and thermal stabilizing, Generally, the petroleum resins are not used independently, but have to be used together with other kinds of resins as promoters, adjusting agents and modifiers in hot-melt adhesive, pressure-sensitive adhesive, hot melt road marking paint, rubber tires and so on.

At present C5 Petroleum resins,industrially also known as C5 Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resins and C5 Hydrocarbon Resins, is playing gradually more and more important role as Tackifying resins in the adhesive and sealant industry, especially in the application of hot melt adhesive and pressure sensitive adhesive. C5 Petroleum Resins with the grades of HCR-A5090,HCR-A5094,HCR-A5100, HCR-A5101 are refined C5 Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resins for the Hot Melt Adhesive and Pressure Sensitive. Our C5 Hydrocarbon Resins have an excellent compatibility with a wide variety of elastomers including natural rubber (NR), synthetic rubber, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and styrene block copolymer such as SIS, SBS, SEBS, and SEPS. Additionally, they also have a good compatibility with the natural Tackifier resins such as Terpene, rosin and thereof derivatives. They could provide enhanced performance in Hot Melt Adhesive applications.

Our Petroleum Resins with the grades of HCR-C5100 and HCR-C5101 is a series of Petroleum Resins are pure C5 Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resins without aormatic content applied exclusively in tire and rubber compounding. C5 Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resins have an excellent compatibility with a wide variety of elastomers including natural rubber (NR), synthetic rubber, polyethylene, polypropylene, Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene (SIS), Styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene(SEBS) and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), and also have a good compatibility with the natural tackifying resins (such as Terpene, Rosin and thereof derivatives). Additionally, the product can be used in rubber compounding as tackifying agent, reinforcement agent, softening agent as well as the filling agent, etc.
