CAN I USE THIS CONTAINER WITHOUT THE LID?

You certainly can, however to keep water from evaporating out it's best to use a lid which you can find by clicking our brand name at the top.

This significantly reduces evaporation and heat loss thus reducing the need for refilling the bath on long cooks.
