Geotextile are made from virgin continuous polyester filament by needle punching and thermally bonding methods. It can offer excellent performance per unit weight which feature high tensile strength, puncture resistance, excellent drainage, good acid and alkali resistance, and anti-aging properties, etc.

Geomembranes is widely used for canal, aquaculture, irrigation ponds and remediation liners, other liner applications include landfills, waste water treatment lagoons, oil and gas exploration, power plants, etc.

Geotextile is widely used to increase ground support and soil stabilization in a given location,  It is widely used for filtration, separation, protection, drainage applications in civil environmental engineering and construction projects.

Four basic functions are defined for Geotextile :

1. Filtration

Filtration functions to restrict the migration of fine soil particles from a soil mass while remaining permeable to water movement greater than, or at least equivalent to the permeability of the protected soil.
2. Drainage
Water is conveyed along the path of the Non-woven Geotextile due to its construction, and then to an outlet. Water may be vertically or horizontally conveyed. Drainage is related to the role of filtration, and is a function of the permeability of a Non-woven Geotextile and its pore opening size or porometry.
3. Separation
Separation is the function which prevents two distinct soils of different materials from intermixing. The key factors for a Non-woven Geotextile to satisfy this function are porometry, toughness and strength.
4. Reinforcement
This function involves the stabilization of a soil mass by provision of tensile strength to the soil-fabric system.
