What is SMC ?

^SMC is made of unsaturated polyester resin, low shrinkage additive and fiber glass. SMC has excellent physical properties, electric properties and flame retardent properties. So it is widely used in automobile industry, electrical and communication engineering, architecture.

8.High strength to weight ratio as compared to convertional materials.
9. Easy to fabricate, cut, drill, punch, shear or route as done with other laminates using normal workshop tools, joints made by chemical adhesives and/or mechanical fasteners.

What is BMC ?

^BMC or bulk molding composite is a ready to mold, glass-fiber reinforced thermoset polyester material primarily used in injection moulding and compression moulding.

The raw material BMC is manufactured by mixing strands (>1") of chopped glass fibers in a mixer with a thermoset resin (commonly polyester resin, vinyl ester or epoxy resin). The glass fibers in BMC result in better strength properties than standard thermoplastic products. Typical applications include demanding electrical applications, corrosion resistant needs, appliance, automotive, and transit.
