A range of piezometers for the measurement of pore water pressure and groundwater levels within soil and rock.

Typically used for understanding initial site condition, determining safe rates for placement of fill, predicting slope stability, designing for lateral earth pressure and evaluating the effectiveness of drainage schemes.

Data can be obtained using a portable readout or connected into a data logger for automatic monitoring.

Description

The model GV-2407 piezometer consists of a rigid cylindrical housing, of diameter 20mm having the very stable vibrating wire sensor inside. The vibrating wire sensor element is completely isolated from the total stresses acting on the body. It has a high or low air entry filter affixed through an “O” ring at one end. The other end has a sealed cable entry. With the filter in place, the main diaphragm of the piezometer is isolated from solid particles and senses only the fluid pressure to be measured. The filter is easily removable for calibrations and saturation.
