Properties: It is colorless or white crystal,relative density is 1.62,melting point is 73.3 to 76.7centigrade.It is soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol and carbon bisulfide,its aqueous solution shows alkaline and harms to skin.Heat it up to 100 centigrade,loses 11 crystal waters and becomes sodium phosphate monohydrate,keep on heating to 212 centigrade,it becomes trisodium phosphate anhydrous.It is easy to airslake in the dry air.

INDUSTRIAL USE:
It is widely used as soft agent (softener), detergent of boiler, boiler &dirt-proof agent, cleaning agent in electroplating, boiler compound, rust handling agent, metal corrosion resistance agents, dyestuff intermediate desiccant, photographic developer,coagulating agent of rubber late, scavenger of molasses, fabric mercerization agent, rubber latex and medical preparation, color fixer in fabric dyeing and flux in enamel ware manufacturing and so on.
FOOD INDUSTRY:
It is used as quality improver and emulsifier, mainly applied to cheese, drinks and jelly.
