We have cold applied self-adhesive, flexible, waterproofing and sealing membrane made from rubber modified bitumen compound with tear resistant cross laminated polythene film on its upper side and removable silicone film on the underside.

Properties of bitumen roll sheet , bitumen membrane insulation roof roll sheet

It is a coreless waterproofing self-adhesive membrane where the upper facing acts as both reinforcement  and  protection.  It  is  a  100  micron  cross  laminated  polyethylene  film,  conferring  dimensional stability, puncture resistance, breaking strength and temperature resistance. It has the following features:

·    Cold applied, does not require any heating

·    Easy, quick and clean to install

·    Permanent flexibility and protection against water

·    Effective water and vapour barrier

·    Absorbs substrate movement

·    Root resistant & Tear resistant

·    Does not contaminate ground water

Installation of bitumen membrane:

1.   Substratepreparation: The substratemust be smooth, clean, and free from oil/grease and defects or irregularities whichmight damage the membrane. Use a wire brush or broom and remove dirt, dust or any other contaminants.

2.   Priming: Apply basekim membrane on the substrate and allow it to dry. Prime only

the area which will be covered by the membrane in a particular working day. Primed areas not covered with membrane within 24 hrs., should be re-primed. The primer should be applied by brush or roller at a rate of 0.3~0.4 Ltr/sq.mt., depending on the porosity of the surface. No primer is required onmetal or plastic surface.

3.   Laying of Membrane: - All angles must be filled up with cement mortar or bitumen mastic. Prepare angles,   edges,   corners,   horizontal   joints   using   strips   of   basekim  membrane   for reinforcement and better adhesion of the membrane. Slowly and uniformly peel back the release film over a width of about 30cm. at the start of the membrane. Lay the adhesive side on the substrate and press it into contact. Uniformly peel back the release film further simultaneously pressing the membrane firmly against the substrate with a cloth or soft brush starting at the center and going towards the edges to prevent the formation of bubbles. Adjacent rolls are aligned and overlapped minimum 50mm at side and 100mm at ends. The overlap should be pressed strongly using a rubber roller after removing the silicone release film. basekim membrane should not be applied below - 5°C. It should not be exposed to weathering and protected suitably.

Input of the machine is tissue, polyester and aluminum sheet and primer material (made by mixer) or blown asphalt. During the process of the raw material will convert to bitumen roll sheet and finish product is 10 meter of membrane sheet.

An elastomeric membrane manufactured with an embossed foil surfacing and reinforced with a woven fiberglass mat.  Metalflex SBS is available in standard aluminum and colored aluminum.  The aluminum top surface offers unparalleled reflectivity and weather ability. It is Class A fire rated over combustible deck with no slope restrictions

Specification of the production line:

The main specification of the machine is simplified of work and it is important items that reduce failure of machine since complicated production line has too much failure during production and every time needed spare part.

  • Dimention:L:35 meter,W:1.6meter and maximum height is 5meter.
  • It is made by nut and screw and easy to install and dismantle.So replace of spare parts is too easy.
  • Motors and gearboxes also bearings and other parts of machine is high quality and output.
  • Rollers of transferring the bitumen roll sheets are industrial seamless pipe.It is well polished and adjusted with double flange to take high pressure on.
  • Length of cooling water is 11meter to cool done the membrane sheet in the pool.
  • Capacity of the elevator is 30 meter and while it is getting full production line will not stop.
  • Procedure of rolling and cutting is automatic.
  • Polymer pad is dual layer and it is preventing from quick colding. It is possible to connect to boiler too.

Procedure of producing bitumen roof sheet

Depend on type of the bitumen sheet (single or twin later) tissue and polyester distributing to bitumen pad. Then it smears with blown bitumen. Thickness of the roll sheet distinguished by output nuzzles and in upper level of bitumen pad allocated.After that aluminium layer will smear to the material and then stick andtransfer to water pool/after passing the waterpool duringt the rolling will become cool and liminate on back side then come to elevator.The elevator is supporting to reserve the rool sheet in length and by fin fan blowing to make the roll sheet keep dry.

All procedure is automatic.

Sealing of building material till 40 years before was traditional with asphalt and gunny and bitumen but after creation of roll sheet step by step replaced to old types.Todays most of the building starting from foundation and isolation to services and roofs preparing by bitumen roll sheet.

All isolation is supposed to prevent leak of water. It is powerful product that by heating of back side sticking to the surface.Shelf time of roll sheet is 10 years.
