The mat is made with laminated one layer, durable polyester in some patterns on top, water resistant and easily cleaning, a wateproof membrance hidden in middle, small and dense high-quality silicone grips on bottom to keep the mat in place. they are laminated together and come to be one layer

Better than 2-layers mat which the top and back layers are separately, the top layer will slip and bunch up when the chair is rolling on it. 1-layer mat has no problem like this.

some mats are declared to be waterproof, actually they are not. Water will get through from top and back non slip and come to the floor, because they have no waterproof membrance in middle.
