Cotton gin (ginning machine) is a kind of cotton processing machinery that separates lint from seed cotton without damage to the lint or seeds during ginning process.
There are two type gin, sawtooth gin and roller gin.
When the sawtooth working, circular saw blade pull the cotton fiber, separate the lint and seeds, through a high rotating speed.
Cotton ginned by sawtooth gin have less impurities than ginned by roller gin.
Sawtooth ginned cotton yarn strength is higher than roller ginned cotton
Sawtooth have high labor productivity and are conducive to continuous, automated production, most of these machines are used in various countries for processing upland cotton
