Stair Tread Project-Steps Stair nosings (also referred to as stair treads) are profiled strips of material that are fitted on the edge of steps, both indoor and outdoor.
Stair nosings should span the full width of the step and should provide an anti slip/grip function to step edges.
They are commonly manufactured from aluminium, aluminium oxide grain surface, rubber or fibre reinforced plastics.
Stair treads should also provide luminance contrast between step edge and surrounding step surfaces. This luminance assists with stair safety for those who are vision impaired, or in poor or low lighting situations.
Step nosings also assist in protecting step edges from damage.

We manufacture a wide range of profiles to be architecturally appealing in various applications that suit varying flooring finishes and there are ranges available for new and existing installation applications.

Aluminium profiles are supplied in mill finish. On request profiles can be supplied with in clear anodized finish or black anodised finish at additional cost. They should be specified with 20 micron clear anodised finish.(see the following picture)

Delivery: about 15 days if materials are kept in stock; about 25 days if materials are not kept in stock.
