How Does it Work?

How does GRAND Cooling and Heating mattress pad work? It uses water to generate a wide range of in-bed temperature control in our cooling mattress pad. Similar to the semi-conductor technology that cools your computer, water passes by the chip and depending on the direction of electron flow, the water is cooled or heated. The water flows through soft coils in the mattress pad, actively
adjusting the temperature of the surface of the bed. There is nothing but water flowing through the mattress pad; all temperature change happens in the control unit placed conveniently beside the bed. This makes it easy to switch from a warm electric blanket alternative to a comfortable cooling mattress pad.

A built in connection tube connects the pad to the control unit. Dual-zone Grand Pad have separate tubing and independent control units for each side. Control the temperature at the touch of a button either directly on the control unit or conveniently in bed with the wireless remote control. Set the temperature in 1 degree increments from 18 degrees to 48 degrees. The control unit heats or cools regular water to your set temperature and circulates it through the pad, generally achieving temperatures between 18 degrees to 48 degrees on the bed surface. A thermostat maintains the set temperature, letting you sleep at your ideal temperature throughout the night.
