What's the hopper bottom silo?

Hopper bottom silos, also called cone bottom silos, hopper bottom storage bins, are the steel silos with a cone bottom. Hopper bottom silos are erected on the supporting structure to make the delicate products unloading easily through gravity. Hopper bottom silos have a smooth wall hopper transition with no steps or flanges to offer the cleanest product discharge from the silo. The stored products inside the silo are isolated from the ground, thereby preventing humidity and allowing the interconnection of silos through tapes, facilitating perfect extraction or dosage.

The hopper, rings and support steel are made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. All our hopper bottoms are designed in accordance D-4097 or ASTM D-3299 standards for elevated cone heads. According to the stored grain products and storing situations, the hopper or cone angles are commonly designed at 45º and 60º. The structure of hopper silo depends on the type of products to be stored. In generally, free flowing products pellet products like corn, wheat, soybean and feed pellets require the hopper bottom silo with a 45° angle while powder or other material which is hard to flow fits 60° cone bottom silo storage.
 Hopper bottom silos are widely applied for the storage of grains (sunflower seeds, soy, maize, sorghum, rice, industrial products and other products, etc) and feed pellets for animal, poultry and fish that require special storage conditions. They can also provide temporary storage of wet grain as part of a grain drying plant and other buffer bin applications in silo plants. Grain Steel Silos are widely used in poultry farm, rice mill, flour mill, soybean-oil mill, animal feed mill.

2-1. Producing of corrugated steel grain storage silo;

TSE do the producing with Chinese national standard, Australian standard, Canada standard, and even American standard is aviliable for the steel grain storage silo tank.

3-1. Loading containers and shipping of corrugated steel grain storage silo;

TSE silo shipment team will pack the same parts of assembly grain silo in film package,

Before shipment, engineer will calculate the containers needs,

During load the containers of steel silos, welcome customer come here to check the silos.

 

4-1. Oversea installation and supervision corrugated steel grain storage silo.

TSE silo installation team will send two engineers to the silo site guide the steel silo installation,

Customer employ some local workers ( TSE silo team will advice the silo installation workers quantity),

Before installation, TSE installation team will make a detailed installation shedule plan for customer.

5-1. Commissioning of the steel grain storage silo tank

After installation, TSE silo installation engineer will stay in the silo site for another two days,

To check the silo system run situation, if all are ok, and customer are satisfied with the silo project,

TSE grain silo installation engineers will come back.

If there is any questions with the silo project running, or customer has any questions,

Engineers will stay there to solve all the questions, until everything goes well, whole grain storage silo system be perfect!
