Automatic back flush industrial sand filter is usually called depth filters, water flows through a certain thickness, media layer with a certain particles size, then reached the filtering effect .

working principle

Multi-media filter makes use of one or several filter material with a certain thickness of a granular or non-granular layer,under a certain pressure to remove suspended impurities in the high turbidity feeding water to purify the water ,The commonly used filter materials consists of quartz sand, actived carbon,anthracite and manganese sand, etc. This multimedia filter is widely used in water treatment turbidity removal,water softening and pretreatment section of pure water treatment,water output turbidity can be below 3NTU.besides,it is applied in pretreatment section for reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, ion exchange as well as softening and demineralization system,also applied in coarse filtration of ordinary water quality for industrial water supply,circulating cooling water, sewage treatment and water recycling.
