Comparison between Quartz lamp and Boric lamp:

Quartz Lamp:
made by natural quartz with better penetration to UV ray and provide better germicidal result with longer effective usage life but cost much more than boric lamp. Melting point above 1800°C and hardness higher. Be able to be used in water without chemical substances and side effect.

Boric Lamp:
made by boric. Penetration rate and effective usage life are about 1/2 compare to quartz though cost is much more less than quartz. Melting point below 1400°C and hardness lower. Boric contains chemical substances and could release toxic substances in water which should not be suggested to be used in drinking water.
