    Products Description


    This is a 2.9 inch e-paper screen with 296x128 resolution, SPI interface, and the display is capable to display images with black and white content. Your image holds indefinitely without power – put up your image, then shut down the power. Once these e-paper modules are updated they don't require any power and can actually be disconnected entirely and the content will remain on the display indefinitely. This e-paper display GDEW029T5D is perfect for low power devices powered by solar or batteries.

    We could provide Front light for you, if you need touch screen or other accessories, please contact us.

    E-Paper Display Q&A


    Q: What is Display Electronic Slurry (DES)?
    A: The DES display module adopts a new display structure which is completely different from the current micro-cup and micro-capsule structure. The structure forms a layer of cofferdam structure on the surface of the TFT by forming a cofferdam around the periphery of a single pixel electrode, and the bank covers the source and gate lines on the TFT. The patterned structure is characterized in that each pixel electrode is surrounded by a cofferdam, the microstructure is not visible on the front side, and the number of layers is reduced, thereby obtaining the higher definition and resolution display effect. In order to distinguish it from the traditional micro-cup and micro-capsule technology, we call it the new display electronic slurry (DES) technology.

    Q: How large/small can Matrix e-ink displays be?
    A: At present, the largest e-ink display is 32 inch E-ink Display, and the smallest e-ink display is 1.02 inch E-ink Display.

    Q: Storage humidity for electronic paper.
    A: 40% to 70%.

    Q: Does Good Display provide or support flexible matrix displays?
    A: The flexibility of an EPD display is controlled by the backplane. Good Display does support flexible backplanes, if you're intrested, please contact us.

    Q: Can an Matrix e-ink display support animation or video rates?
    A: Using the faster update modes, e-ink screens can support animation quality video rates. A number of examples are available from customers that show examples of e-ink screens showing video.
