Electroplated Coin Blanks
A lot of central banks have shifted in the past to the cheaper steel blanks with Nickel, Copper, Bronze or Brass plating.
Our high quality plating, done with plating thickness up to 35um, ensures a long life time.
Nickel plated steel blanks, silver in color were developed to replace the traditional Cupro/Nickel, Pure nickel and other silver colored base metals. Nickel plated blanks have good anti-tarnishing characteristics.
Bronze plated blanks, gold/brown in color with a unique conductivity.
Copper plated steel blanks, Reddish/brown color developed to replace full copper and bronze coins, in general used for the lower denominations for its lower cost per pc.
Brass plated steel blanks, yellow/golden color developed for the replacement of homogeneous brass.
All above blanks are available in all diameters varying from 14 to 45mm.
Tumbled Nickel plated Blanks
This process consists of tumbling the silver blanks in a mild deburring media which cleans off any mill marks and makes a clean, even surface. It leaves the blanks with a more frosted finish for a lower grade stamp. We use these silver blanks for most of our bullion-grade products.
Burnished Nickel plated Blanks
We burnish these blanks to a high polish until they are ready for your finest quality stamp. These blanks carry a more shiny finish, and we use them for most of our proof-like medals and coins. We burnish these blanks in a stainless steel media with special chemicals to give it the high shine.
Tumbled Gold Blanks
This process consists of tumbling the gold blanks in a mild deburring media which cleans off any mill marks and makes a clean, even surface. These gold blanks carry a more frosted finish for a lower grade stamp. We use this finish for most of our bullion-grade products.
Burnished Gold Blanks
We burnish these gold blanks to a high polish until they are ready for your finest quality stamp. These gold blanks carry a more shiny finish, and we use them for most of our proof-like medallions and high-end coins
