Knowledge about 201, 304 and 316 Stainless Steel

Now, it’s important to note that not all stainless steel is the same. When you consider that this non-corrosive metal is used for bridges, automotive exhaust systems, monuments and sculptures, architecture and transportation bodies, it’s clear that there are various strengths of this metal. In the stainless steel banding industry, we stick to the higher-grade categories, including 201, 304 and 316.
201 stainless steel is the industry standard for banding, clamping and fastening, and it’s an exceptionally strong form of SS. At ISO Stainless, we recommend 201 for sign hanging,
banding and strapping and hose clamps. This type of metal will stand strong, even through the toughest wind storms. It is also most cost-effective since it contains a lesser amount of nickel.
While it is durable and flexible, SS 201 does not have the same level of corrosion resistance as the 300 Series. With less nickel and more manganese, corrosion resistance is weakened.
300 Series is best for applications where additional corrosion resistance is needed, such as in marine applications.
In fact, Type 316 is also referred to as “marine grade stainless.” Both 304 and 316 are ideal for transportation, welding and sign brackets. This series is more expensive because of the increase in nickel, which is around 8 to 10 percent, but the added rust resistance is what sets the 300 Series .

1, Send us the drawing or picture, with requirements for material, size, colour, quantity, thickness, logo and so on. If you have a sample on hand, we may require it for a better view.
2, Check if design need some modification until confirmed.
3, After you confirm the design and pay the sample cost, we will make two samples, one will be sent to customer for confirmation, one kept by us.
Remark: sampling and charge
a, We need 3-5 days to prepare sample if provided with original one, 5-10days for design drawing ( not suitable for special material )
b, If customer is not satisfy with the first sample, we will modify under customer's request to get a final perfect one.
c, Customer need to pay 50% higher sample charge and freight. We will refund the price difference after get your formal order.
d, After the sample confirmed with order, we will sign the sales contract and make bulk production.
