OUR STORY
In 1933 Luigi Sgarzi started producing his wines in his small winery in Castel San Pietro Terme and distributing them at the famous Bologna' inns. The company has been handed down from father to son, and is now owned by Luigi's dear grandson, Stefano.
Stefano focused mainly on the export, not only promoting the wines of his vineyards, but also distributing the best Italian wines all around the world. Stefano and his wife Nadia have expanded the portfolio of products, selling not only bulk wine and must, but also bottled wine and aromatised wine-based drinks.
During 2003 CIAO brand has been launched, for wines in eco-friendly packaging, such as Tetra-pak and aluminum cans.
2010-2011 New company buildings have been constructed.
2019 Cantine Sgarzi Luigi has its 4th generation at the helm with Stefano & Nadia and their 4 children Anna, Luigi Leonardo, Francesca and Irene.
