Ingredients: Wheat flour (made in Japan), lotus root powder (made in Japan), salt, wheat protein / calcinated calcium, non-calcinated calcium. (May contain wheat)
Soup base: Sugar, soy sauce, salt, bonito extract, fermented seasonings, kombu extract/seasoning (amino acids, etc.), caramel color. (May contain wheat and soybeans)
This is not your ordinary ramen (no lye water is used) or soba (no buckwheat flour), nor is it your typical udon (this is low-sodium)!! Yes! This is "Renkonmen"!

We hope to bring food that is safe to your dinner table! This product is made entirely in Japan.
Its ingredients include wheat flour from Japan, lotus root powder from Iwakuni, oyster shells (which ensure the noodles remain springy for a long time even after they are boiled) from Hiroshima, and Shima Masu salt from Okinawa.




The shape of these noodles is called "Torishigake," a registered design that is created by aging the noodles and drying them over 60 hours. The soba-like color of these noodles comes from tannins, a class of polyphenol, and the granules are small pieces of lotus root skin. Each serving contains 16g of raw, skin-on lotus root. The texture of these noodles resembles fresh pasta, and their versatility allows them to be enjoyed with all kinds of soup from Japanese, Western, to Chinese.




Lotus root mainly contains carbohydrates. It is a light-colored vegetable that contains a high content of dietary fiber and polyphenols. It is also rich in Vitamins C, B6, B12, iron, potassium, copper, zinc, tannins, lectins, and other vitamins and minerals. The Vitamin C content of lotus root is comparable to that of lemons.




We do not use buckwheat flour as many people are allergic to it. Neither do we use "lye water," a food additive that contains a high concentration of phosphorus and which is used in most instant noodle products because it makes them chewy.
Instead, we use Hiroshima oyster shells to give our noodles a springy, elastic texture!
