The LENWA Split Batten is a self-mating aluminium extrusion which is a mechanical fixing device which is used to mount items on walls. It is used extensively bu the joinery industry to mount decorative timber panels,cabinets,shelving,signage etc. The Split Batten enables the installer to fix into vertical timber battens behind gyprock walls.

 

Fitting and hanging wall panels couldn't be easier than with, LENWA's 'invisible' aluminium alloy fixing system.

A rigid interlocking grip, avoids the ‘'popping- off' problem, associated with some other split battens.

For ease of installation, these tough and resilient alloy profiles, are supplied with pre-drilled csk. Customized fixing holes is acceptable.

 

The Split Batten extrusion can be used for a variety of applications for fixing heavy items to walls, including; decorative panels, signs and joinery. Split Batten can be used externally and internally.

The wider part of the extrusion is fixed to the wall with the small lip facing up and the fixing face of the extrusion is fixed to the panel or item being hung with the small lip facing down. We would recommend fixing as often as possible or where ever you are able to pick up a stud.
