Product Details
Channels are carbon structural steel for construction and mechanical use, and are complex sectioned steel profiles with a grooved cross-sectional shape. Channels are mainly used in building structures and vehicle construction. In use, it is required to have good welding and riveting properties and comprehensive mechanical properties.
The raw material for the production of channel steel is a billet of carbon or low alloy steel with a carbon content of not more than 0.25%. The finished channel steel is delivered in a hot-worked, normalised or hot-rolled condition.
Usually, the channel is indicated by the number of centimetres of the waist steel, e.g. 120*53*5 channel with a waist height of 120mm, i.e. 12cm, can be called 12# channel.
