Properly inflated tires:

1. can improve gas mileage up to 10%


2. improve car handling.

How to use

1. Always check pressure when the tire is cold.


2. Push end of gauge stem firmly into tire valve until pointer reaches highest point.


3. Read pressure from an angle vertical to dial face.


4. Refer to tire owner’s manual to assess ideal tire pressure for specific road conditions, normally the pressure marked on the edge of your tire is the best.


5. In order to prevent fatigue, push release button on gauge to eliminate inner pressure after use.


6. Always replace cap after use to prevent dust collection and consequential leaking.

 

Notes:

 

For accuracy, check pressure when tires are cold. Pressure increases with heat. Tires can lose one pound per month under normal conditions. Proper tire pressure improves gas mileage, handling, braking and durability.

 

Caution:

 

Dial type tire gauges are precision instruments. Do not exceed maximum pressure on dial. Dropping or severe jarring may impair accuracy of gauge.
