Aluminum Ingot
Aluminum ingot for remelting is produced by molten salt electrolysis method using alumina and cryolite.
Products meet the national standard GB/T1196-2002. The surface of ingot is clean and smooth.
1. Light and soft. The density of aluminum is 2171g/cm3, which is about one-third of the density of steel; Young's modulus is also about one-third that of steel. 2. Good strength. The tensile strength of pure aluminum is one-fifth that of mild steel. However, after heat treatment strengthening and alloying strengthening, its strength will increase significantly. 3. Good corrosion resistance. One of the characteristics of aluminum alloy is that when it comes into contact with air, a dense oxide film is formed on the surface, which can prevent corrosion, so the corrosion resistance is good. If the "alumina film treatment method" is implemented, corrosion can be comprehensively prevented. 4. Good processing performance. The extrusion performance of profiles for railway vehicles is good, and secondary machining and bending processing are also easier. 5. Easy to regenerate. Aluminium has a low melting point (660 °C) and is easy to regenerate. It is also pollution-free when disposed of, which is conducive to environmental protection and in line with the sustainable development strategy.
