Specification


Structure
A set of 5 types of spiral springs made of steel wire winding. The tensile limit is 5N, 3N, 2N, 1N, and 0.5N respectively. Surface nickel plating protection. The upper end of the bullet is a circular ring, and the lower end is composed of a triangular piece, a rod hook, and a pointer.
Technical Requirement
1. The red paint on one corner of the triangle is the effective working number of the spring. 
2. Within the working limit load,the nonlinear tolerance of the relative average stiffness of the spring stiffness at each point shall not exceed 5%. 
3. The stiffness of the cartridge is selected as follows: 0.025N/mm for 5N type, 0.015N/mm for 3N type, 0.01N/mm for 2N type, 0.005N/mm
for 1N type, and 0.0025N/mm for 0.5N type.
Attention
1.When measuring, the pointer should be aligned perpendicular to the rod hook to reduce parallax. 
2. Do not arbitrarily use excessive force to elongate the spring. If the elastic limit is exceeded, the spring deformation cannot be restored. 
3. After use, put it into the box to avoid pressure and prohibit heating the spring with fire.




Usage method

Physical supports (including supports, poles, crossbars, and fixing clips) and self-made scale plates (using cardboard) must be provided by oneself or experiments should be conducted according to the textbook illustrations.
During the experiment, hang the spring at an appropriate height on a physical support and clamp it vertically on a vertical pole close to the spring. Place the pointer close to the cardboard. Mark the starting point of the pointer, and then hang the weight of the number one weight on the small hook, which is the force type marked by the spring. Measure the different elongation values of the spring, and then mark these elongation values (pointer movement points) with a graduation line on a white board to verify the proportional relationship between external force and spring elongation length with a scale, and to understand the scale principle of the force gauge. If the triangle is rotated to increase or decrease the number of spring coils, the elongation value increases with the increase of spring coils, and vice versa, it decreases. However, the external force is still proportional to the elongation length.
