1. Introduction:

Casing insulators are designed to support and electrically isolate a carrier pipe from its casing in order to prevent bi-metallic corrosion and also to protect carrier pipe coating from damage. The insulators are available in various sizes from 3/4-48’’ and also in molded polyethylene or steel to obtain higher durability.

2. Application:

Casing Insulators dialetically insulate gas, oil and water pipes from casting to prevent corrosion. They also provide support to the pipeline and proect pipe coatings during installation. To allow for sufficient lateral movement of the carrier pipe, the insulators should be installed with runners facing the sides or base of the casting.
