The pad is cut to 3~5mm less than the width of the rail bottom lange.
GSR-DRS PADS:
• Eliminate load concentrations and resultant fatigue stresses in the rail mounting;
• Protect the crane mechanism and increase rail, wheel, bearing and axle life;
• Reduce the wear of rail and support surfaces by eliminating fretting erosion;
• Reduce stresses in the rail, grout and concrete below the sole plate;
• Allow the rail to rotate small amounts so that it conforms to the crane wheel;
• Distribute wheel loads onto the supporting structure;
• Are specially resistant to wear, shear, crushing, oils, greases, ozone and oxygen, as well as ultra- violet rays.
Material characteristics:
• Composition : EVA copolymer.
• Shore hardness : 95°A (ISO 868 A scale).
• Tensile strength : 16 N/mm minimum (ISO R527).
• Elongation : 250 % minimum (ISO R527).
• Recommended maximum compressive stress (dependent on temperature) : 20 N/mm2
• Service temperature : from -25°C up to +75°C. For other temperatures, please consult us.
Permissible soleplate load:
The maximum permissible load per soleplate can be calculated and is a function of rail and soleplate dimensions and the acceptable working stress for the GSR-DRS pads. The design load calculation should also consider grout and concrete strengths and fatigue.
Designation and dimensions:
GSR-DRS-L x W PAD
L = dimension of the soleplate in the rail axis.
W= reduced width, always 3 to 5 mm shorter the rail foot width.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The installation method should ensure that the soleplates are level with the base of the rail. This is best achieved by levelling the rail and then bringing the sole plate plus pad up to meet the bottom surface of the rail over its full area.
