Kaches® is a proprietary brand of Zhengmao petrochemical, which provides solutions for wet extraction. The product is made of high-quality low sulfur kerosene after three times of deep catalytic reforming and highly dealkylation and desulfurization. The product is light, colorless and tasteless. Its aromatic content is less than 0.01%, and its stable purity is over 99.50%. Different from common kerosene or low aromatic solvent kerosene diluent, the product solves the problems of high impurity content, non-compliance with environmental protection regulations, high compatibility requirements for extractant, excessive loss rate, unstable phase separation performance and so on. The extractant used in this experiment is Mextral984H.
Experimental results: 1. The kerosene phase separation speed is slow, the washing oil water has serious emulsification, and there
are a lot of blisters attached to the bottle wall, which is not suitable for use as a diluent. 2. The low aromatic kerosene has a
moderate phase separation speed, and the washing oil water has a slight emulsification phenomenon, and it is easy to have blisters
attached to the bottle wall. 3. Kaches® Universal Extraction Diluent has the fastest phase separation speed, has a significant
improvement, the washing oil has no emulsification phenomenon, the layering effect is obvious, and there is no bubble attached to
the bottle wall.
The extractant used in this experiment is Mextral984H.
According to the experimental data, when the concentration of the diluent is low, the phase separation speed of the diluents is
not much different. As the concentration of the extractant increases, there is a clear gap in the speed of the phase separation of
the diluents. When kerosene and low-aromatic kerosene have high concentrations of extractant, the phase separation speed decreases
significantly. Kaches® Universal extraction diluent has little difference in the speed of phase separation at each concentration.
This experiment is carried out at 25ºC. In actual production, the temperature is lower and the diluent with higher viscosity will
have a greater impact on the phase separation speed and may cause more problems. In summary,Kaches® Universal Extraction Diluent
is more suitable for selection as the extractant diluent.
