 Rotary slips can accommdate drill pipe from 2 3/8" to 5 1/2" (60.3mm to 139.7mm) OD. they are classified as type short(SDS), Medium(SDML) and Extra Long(SDXL) according to gripping length. SDS slips are designed for shallow hole drilling. SDML slips are the perfect choice for all medium depth drilling, SDXL slips are designed for deep drilling.The slips are designed and manufactured in API Spec 7K and SY/T 5049 Slips for well drilling. It is suitable to handle the drill rods during the oil well drilling operations for the exploration of petroleum and natural gases ,It is an essential tool for coupling and uncoupling .

SDS, SDML and SDXL Rotary Slips are for use in API standard insert bowls.

 The buttress design of the body segments provides great strength while minimizing weight for ease of handling..
