Advice for using DGB Sous Vide Slow Cooker:
Always place the food to be cooked in a sealed food bag suitable for cooking (Bags, Rolls).For the best results, DGB recommend vacuum packing your food.
It is recommended to add a lid/cover with water balls for cooking, as this will heat up faster and the
insulation will be better during low temperature cooking.
Do not put raw food directly into the water, except eggs.
Use only drinking water.
During cooking, check that the bag stays immersed in water throughout to ensure uniform cooking
When adding food to the same bag, distribute it well to avoid overlapping, which may lead to uneven cooking.
All foods cooked at low temperature should be consumed immediately to limit the spread of bacteria.
Once you have cooked your meal, if you don’t intend to consume it immediately, you should reduce the temperature of the food using a rapid cooler, or by immersing the bag in ice water.
If the food is for immediate consumption, you can finish it off in a pan for a few minutes, after removing it from the bag.
For fish, check when buying that it has been chilled as required by hygiene rules for the consumption of raw fish.

Q: Will the cooker work properly if the base touches the bottom of the cooking container?
A: Yes, water travels in and out of the water flow channels that are located on either side of the cooker. The water travels through the channels in a horizontal flowing motion. It will not impact the cooking process if the base touches the bottom of the cooking container.

Q: Can the cooker be on an angle?
A: No, Ensure the cooker is perpendicular to the water level in order to properly circulate the water bath

Q: Should I flavor the cooking bath water?
A: No, it’s not necessary to flavor the cooking bath water as the liquid does not penetrate the bag during the cooking process. To add spices or marinades, place the contents with the food inside the bag.

Q: Why does a pouch float and does it matter if it does?
A: There may be air or gas trapped in the pouch and air is lighter than water. Air or gas trapped in the pouch can lead to uneven cooking. If this occurs, remove the floating pouch, open it, dry the edges, and reseal.
