What is Tinplate?
Tinplate (SPTE/ETP) is a common name for electroplated tin steel sheets, which refers to cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheets or strips coated with commercial pure tin on both sides. Tin mainly acts to prevent corrosion and rust. It combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solderability and aesthetic appearance of tin in a material with corrosion resistance, non-toxicity, high strength and good ductility.

Quality Test
Tinplate refers to the steel plate with a thin layer of metal tin on the surface. Tinplate is a steel plate about 2mm thick rolled from low carbon steel, which is processed by pickling, cold rolling, electrolytic cleaning, annealing, leveling and edge cutting, and then cut into finished tinplate after cleaning, electroplating, soft melting, passivation and oiling. The tin used for tinplate is high-purity tin (SN > 99.8%). The tin layer can also be coated by hot-dip method. The tin layer of the tinplate obtained by this method is thick, the amount of tin is large, and there is no need for purification treatment after tin plating.
