Needle Coffee Tamper
The coffee powder used for extraction of espresso is generally ground finely, which is specially prone to agglomerate in an electrostatic/high humidity environment. If the coffee powder is not effectively broken up and evenly distributed, it is likely to result in some dense parts of the powder layer and some loose parts during subsequent compaction.
Water flow naturally passes through the loose part due to inertia during extraction, resulting in excessive extraction of coffee powder in the loose part and insufficient extraction of coffee powder in the dense part. Finally resulting in a cup of espresso with bad taste. Compared with the traditional way of distributing coffee powder by hands, coffee distributor tampers will be more stable. Any kind of coffee powder tamper could make the powder more evenly distributed every time. And in the efficiency and quality aspects of production, it not only could be more efficient & stable, but also more sanitary.
If it is found the surface of the powder layer is uneven after filling, it would be better if you break powder lumps, put it in the bowl again, and distribute coffee powder and then compact it. If secondary compaction is just made directly, the powder layer will be split and the channel effect will occur.
