PTFE Coated Fiberglass Sewing Thread is the industry standard for dry filtration and insulation applications. It provides high-temperature stability and sintered PTFE coating gives the product excellent frictional properties.
Our uniform PTFE coating completely encapsulates the thread, enhancing resistance to buildup of contaminants and repelling attack by most acids and alkalis.
PTFE coated fiberglass sewing thread will not support combustion, will not burn and is UV stable. In addition, the smooth coating improves handling characteristics, abrasion resistance and sew-ability.
It can withstand operating temperatures to around 1022 F(550ºC).
