The Original

The compressed pop-up sponge “Viskovita” is an internationally successful product in the printing industry. Because of its outstanding properties, it is eminently suited for cleaning printing plates. Visually, it stands out for the skin-like appearance of the surface along the edges. The globally unique and patented manufacturing process – steam coagulation – provides “Viskovita” with the following properties:

· High cleaning and absorption power
· High chemical and acid resistance
· Lower transport and storage volume
· Two sizes available:
  pressed:   115 x 32/35 mm
  expanded: 135x90x34/37 mm 
· All-round continuous leather-like “skin surface“
· Highly resistant and extremly durable viscose material
· washable up to 60 °C

- Applying of developer liquid on offset printing plates
- Cleaning of rubber rollers in developer machines
- Cleaning of printing-plates – remove dirt and ink
- Applying of aluminium activator on plate cylinders for   regeneration
- Applying of gum on printing plates for preserving / archiving
- Removing ink and dirt from blanket-cylinders
- Cleaning of impression cylinders
- Cleaning and scouring of printing ink, scrap paper, powder of 
  anti-marking film and transfer jackets in offset printing machines

Spontex viscose material

Regenerated cellulose is used as the source material for our high-quality viscose sponges. This basic cellulose material is obtained from renewable organic fiber. One of the most important properties of viscose sponge is its enormous liquid absorption capability. Our viscose sponges can absorb and retain up to 21 times their own weight in liquid.

The viscose sponge material has the mechanical and specific electrical properties of a natural woven fabric and is, furthermore, biologically degradable. A wide range of colours and pore sizes can be set during the production process. Our sponges can also be provided with a stabilising skin depending on type of manufacturing process. The viscose sponge material is first manufactured in blocks and then made to the shape required by the customer on our production equipment by cutting, punching, drilling and slotting. This flexibility in our own works enables us to work the sponge material into a wide range of shapes and also to meet the high quality requirements of our customers.

Q1. Is your cellulose sponge Eco-friendly?

A1. Of course, the cellulose sponge is made of natural wood pulp, and will degrade in soil after a month or two.

Q2. Is there any other shape? Can you make the new shape I need?

A2. Yes we can. With proper mould we can make any shape you need, but of course, the mould fee is involved. Please contact the sales person for more details of the mould making.

Q3. Is sample available?

A3.Yes.Normal samples in stock are for free. Customized samples need to check.
