These are very similar to hairpin legs and furniture legs.
This set comes with 8 floor flanges and 4 pipes threaded to fit the flanges.
The "black" refers to the enviromental black iron oxide scale that covers the surface of the pipe/fittings.
Once the oils are thoroughly cleaned off it leaves a beautiful gunmetal finish. We then apply a clear coat to protect the surface and to give it a nice rich finish.
