Product Description

cmc carboxymethyl cellulose is white or milky fibrous powder or particle,almost odorless, tasteless, hygroscopic. Easy to disperse in water into transparent gelatin solution, insoluble in ethanol and other organic solvents. The viscosity of 1% aqueous solution decreased significantly when pH>10 or <5, and the performance was best when pH=7. For thermal stability, the viscosity increases rapidly below 20℃, but changes slowly at 45℃, and the viscosity and properties decrease obviously when heated for a long time above 80℃. Soluble in water, transparent solution; It is very stable in alkaline solution, and it is easy to hydrolyze in case of acid. When the PH value is 2-3, precipitation will occur, and when the polyvalent metal salt will react and sink. Solid CMC is stable to light and room temperature, and can be stored for a long time in dry environment.

Application

Carboxymethylcellulose is used as a thickener in ice cream, canned food, quick-cooked noodles, as a foam stabilizer for beer, etc., and as a thickener and binder in processing jams, sugar juices, sherbet, desserts, ice cream beverages, etc.
